Supreme Court Ruling on Arizona’s voter ID Law a Big Win for Rule of Law!

The Old Switcheroo. The Feds just stuck it to Obama’s Cheating Democrats.

Has The Right missed the results completely, from Arizona’s recent battle with The Federal Courts over voter registration?

If one looked no further than the news bytes from Fox News and others regarding the recent Supreme Court ruling in the case of US vs Arizona, it would seem like a loss for the Right. It further sounds like States will not have the authority to demand proof of citizenship at the voting booth.

Not So !!!

The ruling did not say a thing about states having final authority in respect to their voters being required to prove that they are U.S. citizens at the voting booth. Rather, it shot down states having the authority to require I.D. when voters are filling out the Federal Form. It stops there. It only dealt with the Federal Voter Registration Form.

All states can use their own voter registration form, like most states do anyway. Illinois, and Washington, the two states with whom I am more familiar because we just moved from Illinois to Washington, are two examples of states that use their own registration forms. On these forms, each state has the right to require proof of U.S. citizenship.

So, the big hullabaloo was all for not. The Federal court really stuck it to The Left on this one. Instead of setting a nation wide precedent against voter I.D., which is what Obama wanted, they merely side-stepped the entire issue with a mild little clerical office procedure. Basically a paperwork statement.

Have you seen the movie, Return of the Pink Panther?

Detective Clouseau asks the inn keeper, “Does you dog bite?” to which the inn keeper replies, “No, my dog does not bite.”

Clouseau then reaches way down near the base of the inn keeper’s desk to pet the cute dachshund. The dog immediately bites his hand, barking and growling violently. Clouseau stands back up quickly and says, “I thought you said that your dog does not bite!”

The inn keeper calmly replies, “That’s not my dog.”

Thus the federal courts just perpetrated upon Obama the old switcheroo. Yes, he won that battle, but the war was nowhere in sight.

We'll see what happens come Election Day. Meanwhile, for you honest people who take your voting rights seriously and are proud to prove your citizenship which adds even more value to your American right to vote, it's a good thing. But, for the dishonest Left which can't win any election without lying about everything and misrepresenting everything else; like the cute little doggy, it kind'a bites, doesn't it?
