Official CBS News Hack Elizabeth Palmer (dressed here as a stewardess)
waxes eloquent while switching back and forth from subject specialist reporting
“news” to columnist creating judgment and value calls with complete seamless aplomb.
Can’t tell where intended fact and implied personal values switch off.
Viewers are left wondering if Ms. Palmer’s application of “conservative” means that they are
sticking closely to their murdering jihadist standards, or values of Liberty as
Tea Partiers espouse.
EDITOR
JIM AXELROD: Liz, a man named Hassan Rowhani will be the next president of Iran. Is he in the mold of Ahmadinejad?ELIZABETH PALMER: Well he was seen as the most reform-minded of all the candidates who ran this time. That being said, they were all very conservative. In U.S. terms, it was as if all the candidates for the presidency came from the Tea Party.Nevertheless, young people especially see Mr. Rowhani as presenting a little bit of a hope forliberal reforms. He is a cleric. He is 64 years old. Hes a very experienced diplomat, quite charismatic and extremely close to the centers of power in Iran.
Further evidence of tea party smears comes by way of comparing the tea party to the Taliban, which is about as absurd and upside-down a comparison as it gets. HBO’s liberal show “The Newsroom”recently spouted this slander, even though members of the tea party often complain about the murderous “conservative” Islamists.
