Local Sheriffs and police have to know that forcefully taking away guns from law abiding citizens is breaking The Rule of Law, and The US Constitution. They better shoot first so that they can get the guns.
So, it might be done at 3 in the morning with no warning, or not at all, or there will be anarchy and slaughter.
