It all Rises and Falls on Christians being Christians

Humans are as entitled to freedom and liberty as they are to breathing air. The difference is, that air is abundant enough that it is very difficult to rob it from an entire country. Freedom, however, is always the enemy of the power hungry and is therefore only the reward of the vigilant.

I find it interesting that both air and freedom came from God. But, in comparing the two, the differences begin immediately. Air remains free, but freedom requires constant vigilance over one's Earthly government.

God does not speak through Muslims, atheists and other God-haters. He delivered His Word to the World through Christians.

Therefore, if America (a nation founded on Christianity and The Bible) needs reviving, it will only come from Christians being Christians. Nobody is going to step in and do our job for us.

And, this is quite fitting, because nobody can make me read my Bible daily, pray for others, attend church, win souls, protect my family and freedoms and live a separated live for my Savior. I either do these things myself, or they just don't get done.

If I fail as a Christian, then I should not be surprised when my freedoms as an American citizen are weakened and on the verge of loss.

Being politically active and morally responsible can not and does not replace the rest of my responsibilities as a Christian.

I wonder if we all were magically transported back to Boston MA in the mid 1770's, would enough of us take up arms against the government to make a real difference as history records.

Words and Actions Have Consequences; Yes, even for Liberals

Principal Susan Wright at Michigan’s Schall Elementary School told the press she intended no disrespect when she forced a 3rd grader to have his parent applied army men removed from cupcakes meant for his class for a party, but words and actions both have cause and effect circumstances.

Icons have meaning, and removing the WWII toys from the cupcakes and accusing them of being anything less than what they are, a symbol of our brave warriors who gave their lives in battle for Freedom, sends a strong message; especially coming form a chief educator in a school who's responsibility it is to educate accurately about History.

Third grader’s birthday cupcakes with plastic army men deemed ‘insensitive’

At least he wasn’t suspended or charged with a hate crime.

Last week, a third grade boy at Michigan’s Schall Elementary School brought 30 cupcakes to school in celebration of his ninth birthday. The cupcakes were topped “with plastic army guys like the ones countless boys and girls have played with for decades,” reports WNEM.com.

But Principal Susan Wright stopped the boy from passing the treats out to classmates until the plastic army soldiers had been removed. Wright said the figures were “insensitive” in light of the recent Sandy Hook school shooting in Connecticut.  Wright called the boy’s father, Casey Fountain, personally to explain her reasoning.

But Fountain didn’t accept the explanation. He said the plastic figures represent WWII soldiers and have no relation to Sandy Hook, reports KCTV5.com.  We’d go even further: Not only were American soldiers not responsible for the Newtown massacre, but they risk their lives every day to protect innocent civilians from evil.

Any complaints about the toy soldiers from parents or students would have allowed school leaders to explain the contributions our fighting men and women make to preserving the American way of life.

In the Second Amendment, there is a clear commandment directed towards federal government. In that commandment is the word "infringed". Someone needs to walk into the oval office with a dictionary and show it to the guy in the big chair, because he does not understand several parts of the English language, including the word "infringed".

The major problem with the current actions to disarm America is that the wrong argument is being used as its motivation. In the case of domestic crimes, removing the ability of citizens to protect themselves from deadly criminal force obviously makes domestic crime worse, not better; and anyone with half a brain can see that.

If one is to disarm America, The Second Amendment prevents that from happening legally. The only way to disarm America is to forcefully remove the existing legal armaments from the homes and businesses of the citizens of this country, which of course will start a physical and armed revolt against all forms of law enforcement and military involved in such a crime; in other words, a blood bath.

So, by honest definition, "Gun Control" means "Blood Bath".

As a voter in your district, I wanted to express my concern to you regarding the unconstitutional, fear mongering based attempt to disarm American citizens. Even more disconcerting is the fact that the president and his administration believe that they can exert dictatorial power, circumventing Congress to attack our Second Amendment rights.

By definition, criminals do not care about laws. They will acquire guns, knives, scissors, rocks, or whatever weapon they want to use for their nefarious activity, regardless of what the law is. The only thing this unconstitutional gun grab will do is put innocent, law abiding citizens in harm’s way by preventing them from protecting themselves, their property, and their family.

If stringent gun control, which strips Second Amendment rights from the people, were the answer to alleviating violence, then the city of Chicago would be a model of safety. Instead, Chicago, which has some of the most strict gun control laws in the nation, led the country in number of deaths related to firearms at 532. The people could not protect themselves against the criminal activity around them and many paid for it with their lives.

Let me assure you, I am a real person and I live in your district/state. Whether they are a Democrat or a Republican, the American people deserve to have elected officials who live up to their promise to protect and uphold the Constitution.
